This position reports to the VP Manufacturing for EMEA, with up to 50% travel the position is based in the EMEA Headquarters in Athlone, Ireland. The Role - This position is responsible for forming strategic partnerships, and buying programs with preferred suppliers for all parts, commodities, raw materials and services needed by the EMEA Manufacturing group.
- Manage a central supplier identification process which addresses the group’s operational needs for regulatory compliance, service & product quality, delivery dependability, low cost and flexibility in support.
- Ensure that all Supplier Auditing and Approvals (both initial and follow-up) are done on time and in accordance with all regulatory and quality systems requirements.
- Negotiate all contracts on behalf of the regional group ensuring that all risks and ownership remain with the European Headquarters legal Entity regardless of the destination of the delivery of the services or goods.
- Establish and manage an expediting process and function at each of the manufacturing sites to execute the supply contracts on behalf of the European Headquarters legal Entity ensuring correct call down, delivery, receipt and invoice matching.
- Drive significant cost reduction through lower pricing, material / supplier substation and efficient supply terms.
- Drive significant contribution to reducing the groups working capital needs by using techniques as consignment inventories, vendor managed inventories, payment terms extension etc.
- Ensure material availability to meet all manufacturing needs on a just in time basis with no late deliveries causing manufacturing delay or down time.

We seek a Leader; someone with strong roots in engineering, expert knowledge in Lean manufacturing concepts, who has built a track record of clear and significant personal impact and leadership in production settings.
Specifically, we require:
Qualifications & Experience - 10-15 years of progressive, senior management experience in Procurement or Supply chain
- Outstanding negotiating skills and excellent analytical ability to identify and exploit key opportunities
- A previous background using Six Sigma Methodologies and lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- A track record of proven success in cost reduction and productivity improvement using innovative approaches to Supply Chain Management.
- Experience in E-Commerce, E-Auctions, E-Sourcing is very desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP & MPR systems, specifically SAP & QAD Mfg Pro is preferred
- Degree required, MBA preferred. CPM / CPIM Preferred
- Certification from APICS or ISM
- Strong skillset in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience in a broad set of direct and indirect expense categories
- Strong analytical skills
- Process orientation, results and metric driven
- Executive presence
